The propose of the software is to provide municipal and non-for-profit organizations within the animal control services industry with the option for an open architecture solution for managing its operations in the most optimal approach. The software streamlines efficiencies of animal control operations by automating processes most software solutions fail to automate. The software’s open architecture provides animal control services organizations with market breaking capabilities to meet the demands for third-party integration with other system.
Scope

PETLOGIX is a case management system designed specifically for organizations in the municipal or non-for-profit industry that manages an animal welfare operation. PETLOGIX is purpose is to provide organizations with the capability of managing operations of animal admission and disposition processes, community-related service calls, medical examinations, and regulatory obligations.

PETLOGIX’s main goal is to become the leading animal control services management software on the market via the introduction a novel approach to delivering software solutions to the industry.

Product Perspective

PETLOGIX is a proprietary application package built and configured as an add-on to the SuiteCRM open-source platform. PETLOGIX depends on the SuiteCRM as a software interface. The PETLOGIX interfaces with three (3) external products (software interfaces) to include the following: (1) A Dispatching Product, (2) Ecommerce/Community Portal Product, and (3) Report Analytic Product.

PETLOGIX leverages SuiteCRM module builder functionality designing, developing, and deploying core functionality of the case management product. A dispatching product provides system users with the capability of managing operations to the community in the form of personnel dispatching and incident management for field operations. The Ecommerce product provides the system owner’s community users with the capability of renewing pet registration, managing their pets, and remitting payment for incurred violations.

PETLOGIX leverages several third-party SuiteCRM modules to fulfill requirements from prior work.
